About This Item
1 inch ratchet straps are commonly used for securing lightweight loads during transportation. To use them, start by attaching one end of the strap to an anchor point on the vehicle or trailer. Thread the loose end of the strap through the ratchet buckle, making sure it is positioned correctly. Pull the loose end of the strap tight, and start using the ratchet handle to tighten the strap even further. Once the desired tension is achieved, lock the ratchet handle to prevent the strap from loosening. To release the strap, simply lift the ratchet handle and pull the loose end of the strap.
